Circuit Training

I thought that the sets of pull-ups, push-ups and sit-ups I did 3 times a week were “circuit training”, probably due to lack of a better definition on my Noom application (which I use to track my exercises).

Well, it’s a whole other ball game, as Circuit Training is something totally different.

Apparently, here’s an example of a good circuit training routine:

A good circuit training course works the different sections in the body individually.

Upper-body

  • Squat ups
  • Bench dips
  • Back extensions
  • Pull ups
  • Medicine ball chest pass
  • Bench lift
  • Inclined press up

Core & trunk

  • Sit ups (lower abdominals)
  • Stomach crunch (upper abdominals)
  • Back extension chest raise

Lower-body

  • Squat jumps
  • Compass jumps
  • Astride jumps
  • Step ups
  • Shuttle runs
  • Hopping shuttles
  • Bench squat

Total-body

  • Burpees
  • Treadmills
  • Squat thrusts
  • Skipping

I will go over all exercises and put videos and descriptions for you.
